Hi guys,
I'm just rebuilding a 1275 and I've been looking for some 1 1/5 twin su's but they seem to be going for quite a lot of money at the minute, which got me thinking...
I have had for about 15 years a set of twin 40 dcoe 84's sat on a random inlet manifold in a barn and was wondering what one of them would be like on a 1275.
Is anyone running with one?
What are your thoughts?
Thanks.

Yes.
What engine spec?
inlet manifold choice is very important here. And cutting the bulkhead is advised.

I've not got to far yet I'm just stripping down a 1275 going to get it bored out new pistons, cam, etc. I'm sure the engine is a metro engine but the engine number doesn't come up on Guess works.
I've just sent one half the weber off to mate with one of those sonar cleaners.
What manifold would you recommend?

What do you mean by one half?
I am presuming you mean one carb.
And you had two carbs on a non mini manifold?
As opposed to two half weber 45s on manifold suitable for a Mini?
When talking A serise thing can get "special".

Sorry yeah they are a pair on some random manifold. I'm sure they are 40dcoe's
The engine a red block with the engine no. Starting 12h899aa and the gearbox it's on is a DAM 2886.
