Hi

Just wondered what the best mods are to do to the rear subframe?

I've solid mounted the front so was wondering what I should do to improve the rear.
It's all adjustable just need to get it all set up.

Thanks
Josh

If the rear suspension settings are correct nothing more needs to be done.

Why not do away with the subframe all together and go for a rear beam? And for the cherry on top... reduce unsprung weight with alloy radius arms & disk brake converstion.  :turtle:

Or just leave it alone.

You can solid mount the rear subframe. However, I don't know of anyone with experience of doing this.

I'd imagine it would stiffen up the rear end a bit too much though, making it a bit twitchy and unstable.

I have a rear beam on my project car but im selling it all.
I want to stick with rear subby and cones etc to be honest. It works well on a mini and it keeps the strength there as it's a road car.
I will eventually get some kad rear arms but got plenty to do before I go that far! Lol

Has anyone got experience of solid mounted rear subframe? Or poly bushed ones?

Thanks

The best way to mount a rear sub-frame is with the original mountings. There are no advantages with doing anything different.

Ok great. Just wondered if it was like the front etc.

I'll just make sure it's all in good condition etc.

Thanks
