Hello All,

   I have a 79 Mini Special 1100 and on my move from the east coast to the south west, the bumps and pot-holes took a toll on "Tiny" while on the trailer. My exhuast system completely broke off just after the header. Of course I need to replace it and my questions are;

1. Do I convert to a dual exhaust or keep it stock? It's completely stock right now.

2. Is there a benefit to converting to dual exhaust?

3. Will it decrease in value if I change the original specs?

4. Do I have to order a new exhaust with CAT(s)?

Thanks in advance,

v/r

Mike

1, don't for the dual exit they kill performance. Either a decent stage one kit or leave stock.
2, no it's makes it worse
3, depends on the car, but subtle mods like a stage one kit should t affect it.
4, no, a 79 car doesn't need a cat.

I would look at the maniflow kit if you do decide to get one.

Oops just noticed you are in Texas, no idea of your laws regarding cats, so ignore 4 above.

Thank you. Any idea on the best place to order one. I've been looking at both of these:

http://www.7ent.com/...er-gex0106.html

http://www.7ent.com/...w-c-ara332.html

If I buy a maniflow exhaust kit, do I have to have maniflow headers?
