hello the what is better for race track use I have lots of money to spend on my mini engine but I cant make my mind up what to do 998 fast road or a 7 port engine with a straight cut jearbox

For race use depends on regs for the series. I run a hot 998 it's fun, not terribly fast but fun.
7 port presumably based on a 1275ish will be quicker. Depending on power might not need a sccr.
