Hi

 

Not been around the forum for a while.  I have an 1992 open classic i am currently working towards getting back on the road.  I opened the roof today, first time for a few years.  I noticed it was opening unevenly and upon close inspection the back rear corner drivers side has a small tear at the edge.  Protruding was a rusty wire, i pulled it out (about 3" long), i assume this is one of the operating cables which has corroded.  Any advice on replacement greatly appreciated.

I think I have heard of people using bicycle gear/brake cables for this if you can't find a part.

Thanks, yes it looks a similar size, hoping to get some info on removal / replacement.
