Need to add a rear recovery point too the back of the expedition rally car for if (who am I kidding?) when, I get stuck in mud/snow/sand and need too be dragged out. Would also be nice to be able to have the facility to help others in trouble if necessary, although due to the minis layout usually have more luck doing this in reverse.
Was wondering where and how people have mounted there's.

Pics and info would be much appreciated, cheers, Joe.

I use the rear rear subframe mount holes.

but I don't have a subframe.

when I did I modded a bracket on one corner of the rear subframe and poked the eye out of the rear valance.

Works type fitted to the OS of the sub frame (four bolt fixing) & TRS strap on the other car mounted on the NS exhaust hole. The strap was obviously the easiest to fit, I'll try & add some pic's.

Mini mail do a nice, strong, simple one that bolts to the lower subframe member.

I can't understand a strap on the exhaust mount hole though - is that not higher than the bottom of the valance? Especially if your towing vehicle is taller or uphill from your stuck position.

I agree with GraemeC. I also have a Minimail rear towing eye. Lazer cut, bolts to the rear subframe, strong and a tidy solution.

does the 'Parts' section of the Minimail website usually work? I can't access it... http://www.minimail.co.uk/

I'm interested in this, can anyone post a pic of it?

Cheers for the help guys, have just contacted Minimail enquiring about ordering two of there rear eyes. Looks like a neat, simple and strong solution.

Here's a few shots of the car for those interested, any questions just ask! :)

Superb looking car! Preparation looks very neat. What event(s) are you going to be entering?
