Gaz Shocker Settings

hi can anyone with gaz shockers tell me what there settings are for the road please, iv just put a set on ,the resistance is more than my standard shocks even on say three clicks from soft ,they are twenty clicks alltogether cheers phil

you may find it varies from person to person

 

all I done with my spax I set on say 3 on front and built up

 

each test drive until felt happy with front not dipping to much

 

but not to hard

 

I ended up on number 7,  2 years later its now 9

 

the back wont be nowhere as hard probably half the front

ok cheers il do that , when it stops raining il take it over the local speed humps where it used to rub.

I had mine on 12 but im a little brat so drive like a nutter
Then moved onto coilovers

I was told by a suspension guy the back should always be stiffer by at least four clicks. Something about when cornering it's actually the pressure on the rear outside wheel that's important.

my race mini was 9 front and 4 back using spax on 12 or 16 clicks maximum cant remember now

in 1998 and won the championship on this set up and drove realy well

it was a historic mini

why does standard shockers have the same resistance on the front and rear shockers, also say you get 25% uprated they are the same. but we set these up harder on the front .

just try what I said its the only way realy

 

by putting mine up 2 or down 2 I notice the difference

 

not as good or to hard

 

problem is its a road car and your trying to get top handling

 

with some comfort
