Yeah , me too.
Did flush the cooling system though, runs aroudn 80° celsius now

Use an infrared tool and get the temp across different points on the cyl head i dont rely on the mini gauges
70-85 degs are about normal (depending on ambient temp)
Have you had the chance of setting it with a CO gauge?

Using a new capilar gauge ![]()
Calibrated it with boiling water.
Haven't had a chance to set the Co, as there was a bereavement in my family, but will keep you posted!

Guess you have varified this, but is the distributor advancing with rpm? I have seen distributors seized on the advance cam to driveshaft, and not advancing as rpm increases, causing very sluggish performance.
