Been looking at buying the kad interior gear link kit. It is well over priced for what it is. Does anyone no where they get the ujs from? Not using cheap socket type. Cheers ted

KAD stuff is dear, but you get what you pay for.  If you're looking for a UJ, most Industrial Suppliers will have them or try Car Builder Solutions, look in the Steering Section.

Ok then thanks very much I have a look. They do nice stuff I must say. But all I want from the kit is ujs n bar. I emailed them last week to see if they sell the parts on there own but no joy. I give them a ring tomorrow and see what they say plus price.

I used a pair of UJ's from Car Builder Solutions and had them bored out and tapped with 1/2" UNF R/H & L/H threads on the inner ones. I threaded a piece of bar with 1/2" UNF L/H & R/H threads as well to act and a turnbuckle.

The joints cost about £60 and once you've done the machining and made the brackets the KAD one might not be so expensive.

Nice work Tuppers.

Q if I may?  Do you steady the shifter to the engine or to the vehicle floor?

Not quite sure what you mean?

The shifter is/will solid mounted to the tunnel. I've added a second top steady to the water pump and will be adding two more from the front of the gearbox to the subframe.
