We know that most of the minis ever made are now scrapped. Just wondering who has been responsible for killing the most? I have killed two, one due to rust and one was written off by an idiot who T boned it by trying to overtake as I turned right (so technically not my fault).

I scrapped a 79 Clubman 14 years ago and an 81 Mini 1000 which i had cut up and taken away by some bloke in exchange for any part he wanted of it.

That's all!

When I was about 13 I bought my brothers 83 mini. I stored it in a council garage for a few years intending to do it up.

Someone broke into the garage and smashed up the car so I scrapped it :(

one, an '86 mayfair. Looking back, at the point it got scrapped, it was in much better nick shell wise than my Spi that I still haven't finished welding. Should have fixed it up really, but I was totally skint at the time - in fact I had sold it for £50 then bought it back about a year later (£50 again) to get the subframe off it as my SPi one was rotten. I just put the heater motor that I kept from the mayfair into my current mini last weekend, so it sort of lives on in a way!

I've rescued 3 or 4 Mini's from sure death at the scrappers, does that give me a negative score for this thread?
