Thanks for the comments guys. Unfortunately my headlining from Optimise Automotive won't be hear until January (my fault for ordering it late) so the brakes are on a bit as it stops glass being fitted etc.

I guess the rewire can happen and I can start sourcing parts for the interior but gutting is an understatement.

I've also had the thought of doing the CG13 engine conversion depending on what time I have away from summer cycling and my OU degree. I'd be interested to hear what experiences people have had with this conversion

So the headlining from Optimise Automotive arrived on Monday but I didn't manage to draft in any help until today. I went for the black textured one with all the options ticked, not cheap but the quality shines through. A breeze to put up compared to what i remember about the vinyl ones! Just the door pillars left to do and it'll be in.

With the headlining in it meant i could also think about getting some glass into the car and stop it from looking like as much of a bare shell as it has been. Unfortunately i managed to crack a screen but thankfully i had a spare. This one went in okay once we had decided to the bottom and both sides before getting to the top. Fillet strips still left to do, really not looking forward to that job!

That roof looks really nice on the inside - great job.

On the hunt for a roll cage if anyone knows of one going for a good price nottinghamshire way. Preferably 6 point without a diagonal

Lots more progress. I've been away travelling south east asia and have returned to find the paintwork in better condition that i left so time to start building up. Front wheel arches are on, doors now have handles etc fitted and close/lock. Below is a sneak peak - hopefully a fair few more pictures will be available after this weekend...

Rear arches also on, door glass fitted. Also got the fuel tank in and plumbed back up. Waiting for a new fusebox and some electrical parts to test my loom and it should be back up and running!

Lesson learnt, never buy paint materials from an auto jumble!
