Hello! Basically was messing around in the engine bay and i noticed a thing that i could turn by hand and wasnt sure if i should be able to?

'thing' is shown below the arrow. It only turns about quarter of a turn either way but i wasnt sure?

Don't turn it more than 6 times. On the 7th it locks completely, and you aren't allowed to retry or drive again for 5 minutes.

Turn it left 5 times, then 3 times right whilst holding your nose.....gives you 10 extra BHP!!!!!

It's just a lock nut or jam nut to lock against the plunger nut to help stop that one undoing

It's the clutch plunger. Are the nuts moving independently of each other and/or the plunger (the bolt down the middle). If not and the clutch is working OK - leave it alone. Quarter of a turn suggests the hole in the plunger and/or the ball on the end of the operating rod are worn though so expect to be back there before too long (depending on how much and what sort of use it gets).

Not an issue, when it goes solid or difficult to turn is the time maintenance is required.

Its all brand new so it should be ok. The locking nut doesnt move on its own so i assumed it was normal :P
