Group B. The best cars ever made. During the mid 80's I worked for Lancia UK. 

 

 

 

 

 

During the early 90's I was running Metro 6R4 in European Rallycross. Great days.

I particularly liked the Ford RS200, maybe because my company did all the detailed chassis design plus the body to chassis interface.

At the end of the project I was offered one brand new for £25000. To think I said 'no' - what would it be worth now?

Those G'p B cars were awesome beasts, especially in the forests without notes.

Got hundreds of Group B Rallycross pics.

The Rallycross cars were so much more developed, as the rules were a lot more open than World Rally, also cars had a longer life in European Championship, running until homologation ran out in early '90s.

The group B cars used to come over here when the Manx International Rally was a big thing. They were absolutely fantastic snorting and growling past my mate's gate

Dad used to have one of the RS200 replicas, the Kara430.
Not quite the real thing but awesome.
