if your not sure I would get it checked on a jig at a garage as impact could have pushed rear subframe and mounts it hit hard enough also cheackfloor pan under rears seats etc

last thing you want a crabbing mini

Cheers stu.

Absolutely sweet f a done today on the mini. Had a bit planned but as I finished work at 12 and then a mate came round at 1 for me to sort his motorbike out really had no time. 😫

Plus it's my birthday on Tuesday so out tonight with the better half and a few mates to get a little tipsy.

There's always next week end I surpose😆

not much of an update but SANTA came early for me today (well that's what i told the other half not to get in to much trouble)

nice box at work today

IMG_2396.jpg

and this was inside YYYYYEEEEESSSSS with a few other little bits

IMG_2397.jpg

apart from this i have been refurbishing the heater box all shot blasted and now etch primed

for the eagle eyes i have brazed around the pipe out lets and up the spout this it so insure that as much air goes were it should and not escape any wear it shouldn't.

IMG_2398.jpg

and that's as far as i am at the moment but hopefully will get on it tomorrow after work again getting really fed up of doing these 58 hour weeks  less time on the mini

managed to get a few hours on her today.

i managed to get the rear panel of and line up the new one. nice fit apart from the body lines on the new panel (heritage) seam to fade out at the edges. nice snug fit still tho.

so got this on to get the boot floor lined up and welded back in place. this is wear i made a BIG boo boo i had lined up the repair panel and cut it all to kit and clamped in place with the old rear end on.

in doing so tho i forgot i had cut the rear valance of with an angel grinder leaving the rear panel old bootfloor and valance lips still connected with all the other crap. so when i lined up the repair panel cut it all and clamped it all down the fit was good until.................

i got to today fitted the new back to double check before i welded and then realized the repair panel was to flat and needed to be at more of and angel to meet the new panel but doing this spread a gap in the floor at about 10mm wide to wide to weld so new repair panel needed to get it right was not that much of a happy boy after that but at least i have worked on it this week end. lol

in this picture you can see what i mean about the body line fade

and this is how i have left it till i get some more panels

all comments welcome cheers.

got a bit done today dose not look like much but believe me what a pain in the rectum.

managed to get the boot floor repair panel kind of in.(2nd one)

so so much wish i had forked out and brought the heritage panel. is it only me or has every one had problems with there panels. like they dont go far enough back up the sides near the wheel arch to get rid of the rust that forms under the valance closing panels and the shape of the spare wheel well is so bad its almost a joke.

any way enough of a rant here is were i am now back panel now taken of to get more access until its all done.

IMG_2419.jpg

i got the rest to suit the finish i wanted but this i just could not lose

IMG_2420.jpg

IMG_2421.jpg

i have the rest of the first one so i am hoping on being able to do something with that one to sort out this. i will be hoping to get all the boot area done on the inside to the point of wear im happy with it. and will sort out underneath once i get a rollover jig to make it 100% easyer

all comments welcome
