Morning all,

Looking at a set of front and rear RX8 seats for the mini, so am looking for help on how to fit them!

For the front would like advice on mounting points, wiring up the drivers electric and both sides heated bits, and for the rear any advice at all as I've never updated rear seats!

Or failing that how anyone has fitted rear seats from other cars??

On the fronts they have subframes that are riveted on. If you drill those off they have nice flat rails that can be mounted to any subframe. The electrics are simple. Just cut off the connectors and attach a battery. I can't remember the co,ours, but Earth should be black, then just connect each wire to 12v in turn to find out which motor they power. WARNING- some have side airbags so make 100% sure it's the motor connector you are powering. On the one I did the air bag was seperate and I disconnected it all but can't guarant they are all like that.

Afraid I decided against the idea, I did run some MX5 front seats for a while but have now reverted back to standard which I am currently re-trimming using covers from Optimise.

I helped a guy on here to convert some for his mini. Sadly after helping him out and spending a fair bit of time I never heard back from him as to whether he had fitted them or not. A pic would have been nice.........
