Looks great! Nice to see that you have found something with almost no holes anywhere in the floor! Haha!

Wish mine had the same!

Best of luck with the project, i will be watching this thread for more updates!

So works been a little slow with the mini as im currently waiting for various stuff so gives me time to ask questions. Im planning on using the car for every day use hopefully once restored so basically thought id ask with it being used for every day use what would be the main modifications to make on a mini or your own mini? . Cheers

Electronic ignition and a high cranking power battery is a good start.

Make sure the underside of the car and in everywhere that water mud and salt can get to is stone chipped, painted and waxed. You can also buy plastic arch liners to go up in the front wheel arches to stop alot of the muck getting up in there.

That is the basics, other than that, keep it clean and enjoy it!

thanks for your reply ben o , basically along the lines of what I was thinking , I've seen in some mini's people have fitted also a electronic radiator fan , are they the one of the items I should upgrade?. Cheers

Personally i will be running the standard pulley driven plastic fan on mine.

You might benefit from starting a new thread asking about the pro's and cons of running an electric fan and i am sure you would get a good response that way.

Mechanical issues are cheap and easy to fix, i would be concentrating on getting the body rust proofed and keeping it that way as that is where all the expense is.

Have been working at the mini sanding and working on bodywork, after much work the car is showing the need for more work and repairs mostly from were jobs weren't done properly by previous owner and sills over sills . Will be replacing the sills and now by the looks of things two front wings and front pannel and back boot pannel , will also be tackling the sunroof to replace it as one solid piece. Pictures to follow when I get them. Cheers
