i've a land rover set on order (I hope they fit!)

So I've spent a few quid on a few nice bits to get this rolling before Xmas.

The list is.

1. Metro vented 4 pot calipers.
2. Green stuff pads
3. Cross drilled discs
4. New piston and seal set
5. Goodridge braided hose set
6. Superfins
7. Ripspeed Hi lo's
8. Genuine rubber cones
9. KYB gas adjust dampers
10. Genuine knuckles
11. Compomotive tf centre caps
12. Silent coat sound deadening
13. Polybush set.
14. Hif44 carb
15. Oselli torquemaster inlet
16. Oselli rocker cover

Made a start on the brakes and suspension, pleased with the set up but not looking forward to bleeding them.

I'm hoping it will be ready for L2B but I'm not sure now.

I might have to take the 998 Clubman, which needs less work.

But I will keep going until it's an impossible task.:-D

Replaced the lower arm bushes today and noticed a lot of play on the nearside lower and tie rod joint. It appears the hole has ovaled causing the play so I need a new lower arm.

Are people using standard lower arm and tie rods or going for the negative camber kits???

I would recommend the 1.5 degree lower arms. We run them on all the road cars.

Adjustable tie arms are hand so you can set up the castor.

I have tracking and castor gauges if you need them, and loads of standard lower arms, including a pair that are painted and bushed you can have for beer money.

So I've hit my first problem with the Metro brake set up and my Compomotive wheels.

Although I love the look of them they stick out too far to go archless.




I thought the Compomotive tf alloys wouldn't stick out so far, but I'm.guessing using Metro 4 pot calipers it makes them stick out.

Anyone had any problems with this set up? I really don't want arches.

 I reckon it's because the discs are vented.

Yeah im not happy with it, so might bin the Metro brakes,or try and find some nice arches but I dont really like any.
