I know some alternators do but would this charge with the pulley going anti-clockwise? Thank you

Yes, however the fan is rotating the wrong way so your would not get sufficient cooliing through the unit. You need too bend the fan blades so that it can work propely in  the oppossite direction.

Since you are concerned about the alternator rotating counterclockwise I am curious.  What are you going to use the alternator on?

Nothings confirmed yet, mainly down to time and money, but I was weighing up getting an electric water pump, a front mounted rad where the alternator was, have megajolt so got no distributor already, and putting the alternator where the water pump is facing inwards. The biggest head ache I can see will be mounting the alternator where I'm thinking, bolted to the engine so as to keep even tension on the belt and have an adjustable bracket for belt tension

You'll struggle to make a rebust frame to mount to the alternator where you want to however is there anyway you could move it around the back of the engine?

Exhaust is in the way really, it's just idea's at the moment and theres more important things to be done like some new rubber cones and a half decent set of dampers

why would the exhaust be in the way? ive seen in done before, having it mounted at the back
