I have noticed on longer journeys my right foot aches and ive put this down to the obsurd angle your foot has to be on the accelerator pedal.

Can anyone tell me if there is an accessory i can fit to the pedal that will flatten the angle of my foot and make it more comfortable to drive.

Might it be that your seat needs to go back further?

I used to find the same many years ago, and it really did get bad. I have found though in more recent years, I don't notice it as bad, maybe I'm used to it?  Or I'm turning more in to a contorted mutant!  Like you, I did look around for a while, but I never found anything that would remotely do the job.

Apart from being (more) used to it, I also have Cruise Control which is just the bee's knee's for many of the longer stretches that I do, however, it's definitely not suitable for everywhere and if not used with forethought, it could get you in trouble, otherwise, I have much priase for it.

Sounds like to get the seat further back, I had terrible problems with my old knackered right knee until I engineered the seat back 4 inches.  Mind you, combining it with changing to Punto seats probably helped too.

Fit a set of seat extension brackets in and it will reposition the seat better.

If you look at how a mini seat moves when you push it back you will see if moves in an arc not a straight line. The brackets help you set the distance away from the pedals while not altering the height of the bit you sit on. You will then probably find that the angle which your foot is on the accelerator pedal is better and therefore doesn't ache.

I'm only 5'9" but I found the brackets the brackets helped. With them I had my seat back only one notch rather than three as I did without them, but they had altered the height of the seat a little.

Many thanks. After I posted I thought about how moving the seat back further would help mitigate the problem. Trouble is I already have a pair of seat extensions but I'm 6'1" so it looks like I need something more substantial.

Does anyone know if there is an uber bracket or an extension to the standard L extension?

When the throttle is wide open is the pedal against the floor? If not adjustments can be made to the throttle cable in order to lower the angle of the pedal, I found this helped me

Make your own extended brackets like i've done, Give a lot better driving position. the problem I have is that the seat hits the rear bin.
