My forum searches are coming up empty on related topics to Shell Dollies. Are there any detailed plans out there for building a shell dolly? I have plenty of left over 4x4 and 2x4 lumber and I will pick up some caster wheels soon. I'm only in the planning stages of my mini restoration as I do not have my mini yet, but will be making the dolly soon in preparation. I have the typical Mini dimenions, but what I do not know is the distances between jacking/supporting points nor exact shape of shell. Therefore thought that plans may be available somewhere. Many Thanks

I built my car on a pallet with big casters bolted to the bottom it was great
Same here, mine is a bigger than normal pallet though (rectangular).

I've got mine on this frame, I've now got 2 lengths of wood across the floor on the front and back of the frame.

wow... I had not envisioned the dolly having that much height to it, but it makes perfect sense. I was originally thinking something low level, but now you've made me second guess what would help the most... thanks. Do you have the wood pieces located so they hit jack points?

Yep makes working on it easier, It's just across the floor and tied down. I'll get some pics tomorrow.
