Hi all!

I have recently come back to the mini scene after the need to get a second car and now its ready to start personalising!

Can anyone help me tho? :proud:

I am fitting 12x5.5 revo's to my Mini, which arches would fit best?
I am thinking about some grp2 arches and was thinking of grp2 wide because i like the shape more than normal grp2 but i don't want to make the wheels looks pathetic! Ideally I want them to be more or less level with the wheel (probably obvious! :) ) I am wanting to colour code the arches and fit chrome edging strip.

Will these be too wide?

I have searched around but can't find anything definate.....

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

it all depends on the off set of the wheels

5x12 normaly are covered by GP2's and 6x12 normaly are covered by GP2 extra wide or GP 5's :)

this is my mini with GP5's and 6x12 superlights :proud:

I am wanting the same setup as above. Bungle did you have to do much modification to the body and does it scrub on the inner arch??

But would wide grp2s dwarf my wheels do you think? The ones I have bought are 12 x 5.5 deep dish Revolutions. Not sure what the offset is on them................. :)

Do your arches overhang your wheels at all?

Should I wait til my wheels come, then fit one and measure how much the rim sticks out and take it from there?

I just wanted to try and get my arches ready for the wheels to be fitted! :'(

Are you gettin Revo's too Clarks? or do you mean same set up as photo with deepdish Superlites? :)

Thats why I went for 5.5 wide, "hoping" they won't catch! :proud: But, knowing my luck.......... ;)

i had to trim the front outer arch a bit (the same as fitting sports pack wheels) but they clear the inner arch

Should I wait til my wheels come, then fit one and measure how much the rim sticks out and take it from there?

i think that would be the best idea if you want the wheels and arches to look right

Ok! Thanks for your help guys!

Got my Revos now! Gonna fit em tomorrow and see what they're like!
Does anyone know if/where I could get some chrome center caps for em?

Also, anywhere I could get some lock nuts to fit?

I have read somewhere on here (can't remember where!) that one companys grp2 arches fit the original special arch screw holes? Can anyone confirm where they are from........?

Thanks again for any help! Much appreciated!

Hiya, just wondered if you'd got those wheel arches sorted? It's just that I'm in a similar situation, having got some Revolution RFX 5.5x12 wheels recently. Look the business, but the front wheel scrub the front of the arches when you turn more than 3/4 of a revolution on the steering wheel. I've got the standard black plastic arches fitted at the mo, and the wheels stick out about 1cm beyond that. I'll need to sort out the arches anyway, was considering just cutting out the inside and chopping a bit of metal out, but was also wondering about fitting some GP2 arches. Are the GP2s any wider than the standard black plastic arches?

I dont think the standard gp2's stick out any further than the specials, i was thinking of getting them too (i got 5.5x12 superlites) But to be honest i quite like it with the specials! So im gonna get a new set of them, and spray them to match the car (once i finally decided on a colour!)
