Are you sure it's actually sticking? I had a bad connection on the switch for mine which caused it to some times work and other times not. If it is actually sticking then it would stall the motor and in theory should blow the fuse and or burn the motor out

Mine did the same until recently, it was the switch. Changed it for a flick type and now works perfectly!

Reach behind the facia, and you will feel x2 small metal wings that are bent around the back panel. Unbend them and the facia comes loose. The switch will need either side pushing in to release it forwards and through the facia and panel. The x2 connectors should have spade connectors. Pull them off and the switch can be removed. Add a new switch, I used a round non-standard type, fit the spade connectors, and then put the facia back in place and bend the small flaps back to make it a tight fit. Job done!

Mine was just a bad connection on the terminals of the switch and not actually the switch. Try removing the 2 cables from the switch and squeeze the female terminals on the ends slightly, this should give a tighter coneection on the switch

Id strip the heater, then tes the fan directly to a battery... If it doesnt work change the fan (and matrix as you dont know how long it will last!)

Do you have a multimeter? If not you should consider investing in one. You need to test to ensure you are getting +12v at the switch, then the other side of the switch.

You can also test the resistance of the motor across the 2 cables going to the motor. I can't remember what the value should be off the top of my head, between 5 and 10 ohms maybe. Basically it shouldn't be less than 1 or greater than say 50, as this would indicate a fault.

If you remove the fresh air duct from the drivers side of the heater you should be able to get your hand in there and see if the fan is stiff to turn (ensure that the ignition is off and the heater is disconnected ideally as you may get sore pinkys if you stick them in a rotating fan.
