Fitting Front Rubber Red Dot Cones

looks like I will have to get some new red dots

 

can I fit them without taking off top arm

 

I have hi los

 

realy don't want to go down the coil spring route realy

You will need to remove the top arms as its so much easier to fit the cones

You dont have to remove top arms.
If you are struggling for room you can remove buffer and drop top arm slightly.

Think you might have to get the hi lo machined as it'll sit high. I'm sure it says on the minispares website.

It would be much easier to just remove the top arm To fit imo.

The old remove or dont remove, the answer seems to be both. On some subframes it seems possible but not on others, even when you can its a right fiddle so easier to drop them out.

you mean make the lock nut about half size

 

if you take it off will it not make it dangerous

 

so what your saying is the red dot ones will make it ride to high

 

I like my car lowered

 

will the red dot be a better ride than a collapsed cone

Yes but if you want it low you will have machine the hi-lo's down, and maybe trim the adjusting screw as well. We took about 10mm of as set of generic hi-lo's with red dots once but that was too much, it was properly "in the weeds" so to speak.
