This is a picture of my twin HS2s and just a quick question on the RH one the fuel supply ones are in line and every other set of twin HS2s that I see a picture of are angled. What is the difference and does it effect anything? cheers

Your pair of carbs probably came off something other than a Mini. From memory, the 1147 and 1300 Triumph engines used a "straight" bowl lids like your picture shows.
There are multiple bowl lid configurations available. You can use what you have if you can route the fuel lines reasonably. If not, buy some used carb parts to get the bowl lids you need. More important than which direction the bowl lid hoses point is the direction the float swings. I remember that the prevailing wisdom was to have the floats swing forward to back as opposed to left or right so your engine does not experience fuel starvation on long sweeping turns. Others should be able to clarify that.

The original ones use this pipe. Your carb on the left of the picture will work with this.

It might be possible to blank the extra outlet from your carb on the right side?
