Rich, a BLARG friend of mine's a bit sniffy about Minis thinking that the value for money/what you get back in enjoyment ratio isn't the best.  He moans about Scene Tax, although I have explained that you do get quite a bit for your money from Scene Tax.  It turns out that he's only driven a Mini once about 5 years ago for 5 miles.  So, I've sent Tommy, my RSP 'S' up to stay with him for a while to convert him.  I've had the odd moan about achy legs, but other than that, I think it's going very well.  He took Tommy out for a drive today and sent me these pics  I have to say I think Tommy is having much more fun that he would with me in Oxford, as more than likely he'd be shut in the garage.  While I don't expect Rich to want to own a Mini by the end of Tommy's stay, I do want him to love them.  Fingers crossed!

They are expensive though haha its part of the reason I didn't buy another mini and got a metro instead

I dont think they are expensive really , or there is 'scene tax ' . Less than if you were into VW's or old Fords . You can not pick up a project one of those for hundreds of pounds . And you can get everything cheapish second hand , plus anything new .

That is lovely    Rich has a Montego or two, a Maestro the earliest known Rover 800 Fastback and a number of others.    He's never owned a Mini though.

As promised Tanya, whilst Tommy is staying with us I've been pottering around in him enjoying the 'point and shoot' go-kart crazyness. Came home today on the twisty bits over Saddleworth and we both enjoyed it much more than buzzing our way across to Pennines on the M62!
