I have a koso speedometer fitted with an analog to digital adaptor. The speed fluctuates up and down when driven at a constant speed, with the upper speed showing the right speed. Do these units always do this? Is there anything I can do about it? Thanks.

I'm not familar with that particular unit, however my own experience with various pick ups has been that if it's still cable driven that can cause it to fluctuate at lower speeds. The other things are if it's not producing enough pulses per turn at slower speeds. Also, there are Inductive Pick-ups and Hall Effect (maybe some others too). The Inductive ones, (2 wire units) are pretty crappy at slow speeds, where as the Hall Effect (usually 3 wire units) are really good even at the slowest speed.
