As title. Are all the R1 engine mounting points the same across carb and later injection engines?

I ask because I am thinking of pulling my mpi engine and converting to an R1 bike engine and I'll build my own engine cradle. I might buy a cheap seized engine for mock up then replace with a decent engine when I'm ready so knowing any r1 engine will fit is important.

Thanks

Luke

Not really an issue now. I'm collecting a complete 2003 5pw engine on Tue that has 11k on the clock abd includes loom, ECU and clocks.

The best people to contact would have been Promotive, im sure that would have the answer for you. I do know there are differences between the early and later models but whether its mounting specific i do not know. Good luck with the build, something i will be doing in the future.

The only difirence between my carb'd 5jj engine and my efi 5pw engine is one mount is slightly different on the cylinder head.
The 4xv/5jj has a mount out the front of the head beside the exhaust port but the 5pw has one on the side of the head between the headstuds.
Apart from that they will bolt in on the same mounts.
