I've paid a deposit for a 2003 5pw engine complete with wiring loom, clocks and ECU for a decent price and I will be collecting this Tuesday.

What parts might I also need from the bike whilst I'm there? Its a complete bike being broken.

Thanks

Luke

Ex up servo is worth having I think as advice I was given is that the 'deletes' you can get aren't so reliable.

Suggest just taking as much as you can though as it can be a bit difficult to see just how 'complete' it is!

You also need the voltage regulator/rectifier, has heat sink fins on it and a couple of fairly large connectors.

Also, a few sensors were missing from mine and they're tiny - air, coolant etc, check those. Also worth going round and fiddling with all the plug connections in the loom if you can as they're easily broken and can be costly/difficult to replace.

Thanks for the tips. Before agreeing to buy it I was sent a video of the bike running so I kniw it's good. Just a question of what he's letting me have with it.

Well got the engine back home and I think I got a good deal.

Got complete engine with all bolts, complete wiring loom with all sensors, clocks, ECU, rectifier, Airbox, radiator and fan. Engine has done 11k miles and I have seen a video of it running.

I'm not. I'm planning on building my own cradle to mount it in the front similar to Lynx ae kits.

Not sure yet. I plan to buy the diff housing kit from westgarage so will see what they recommend.

I used west garage a few years back for a chain drive axel for a trike set up, I used to build trikes up until last year, I've changed direction now and plan to spend more time restoring/ doing things with mini's,just for awhile as im planning to move to Ireland sometime this year, hopefully, I might be able to help out on the diff, I have a chain drive  reverse diff that im planning on putting on evil bay , its new never been used, I have to walk the dog now befor I hit the sac but  will be back on tomorrow, regards
