White will annoy you after a month as it goes dull or cream. If you do decide to paint it, use course wife wool on the part if it's bare metal. and where can i buy course wife wool lol. Sorry couldnt resist

Smackfiend, they come up really nice, much respect for the work that went in to that.
While I've not done and and usually, I'm not a fan of it, I have been reliably told that Powder Coating of alloy parts gives very good results, much better than on steel.

Due to how nasty Alocrom is don't bother with that plus it won't be cheap. This is the process we use on Civil Aircraft skin and structure.

Prep is very important when it comes to painting these items.
I did a very through prep or my remote selector box and the housing of my distributor before painting them.
Unfortunately the box they were stored in after being painted got full of water last year and by the time i got them out to dry them off, the paint had wrinkled and started flaking off.
I'm pleased it happened in storage rather than after them being fitted to the car.
I do quite like the colour of that ali paint, but i think perfect prep and the right primer would be key to a lasting finish

Thanks for the reply on this .I will go for the aluminium spray option instead of the paint option I think .
As I only want to do it once .
Thanks all .
Everyone is so helpful on here I am glad I found this site
