Hi,

I need a main power cable for my GT, the one that runs the length of the car. I've got a suitable length of 20mm spl amp power cable, same diameter as a oem cable but lots of strands rather than less thicker ones. Would this be ok to use?

The finer stranded cables are actually better, more flexible and a higher rating.

I'd check with the manufacturer the outer sheath is suitable for being out in the underside of the car

Ah ok, so in terms of electrical capability all good, but may not be tough enough for the conditions under the car.

I doubt I'll get an answer from the cable manufacturer so I'll either just go with it or route it inside the car.

Much appreciated :)
