Nothing. Just be aware of your driving and don't lock up the brakes. Not a good look.

Pointless expense in my eyes for road use,

No real gains at all

dont think they come with the dust / dirt shields on the pistons so they will need some extra attention,   well the older versions like mine dont.

Anything at such expense, your going to keep in good condition anyway. Remember pad compound will depend how good they are for road use, I went for the Ferodo DS3000 pads which'll need heating up before being good

yes they dont have weather seals, they wont like getting wet.

I ditched my 6 pots due to this, and went for Wilwoods intead, the 4 pot Kad big brake kit has the seals, plus there will probably be a better choice of compounds available.

Dave seeing as you still have a lot of welding to do to your car I think you should let me borrow those and run them  in for you!  ;D

Wouldn't bother unless your running 200bhp car

There is some one on here with kad 6 pots with rear discs set up on a 5port sc injection set up in my eyes total was of money because that engine isn't going to run over 150bhp

Engine power isnt what its about? I'd say 6pots are more neccesary on a car which weighs 700kg but less power than a 500kg track car with more power... afterall its the mass your trying to slow down. While true the more powerful car will be able to reach higher speeds easier. It really depends on the vehicles intended use.

In my opinion, using massively powerful brakes on the road is a waste of money as the limiting factor with stopping power will be the tyres.  Unless you are running massive super sticky slicks, 6 pots with really grippy pads will just lock your wheels up.

This really.
I even manage to lock up my brakes with 4 pots on 13" slicks

Ish. As the limiting factor is the grip from the tyre.

I had one of the first sets on 10.5 running standard Subaru Justy pads. 750kg car and you could get the back wheels off the ground when braking if you wanted to. 8.2" sticky slicks.

But as there is no car to fit these to the OPs question is rather pointless as we have no idea if he is going FWD or RWD or AWD 10" or 13" wheels.

The biggest problem with these huge vented brakes is how to get the pads hot enough to work at their optimum.

With the Mini rear discs just don't get to temperature at all as the pressure reduction valve prevents hard application. The advantage of rear discs would be for racing to reduce the un-sprung weight slightly. It doesn't matter that the rears are doing nothing as the car doesn't have to pass an MoT.

For a road Mini, standard discs are fine so long as the pads are selected to suit the application. Anything over that is spending cash for the sake of it.
