anyone know where to get stainless clevis pins from for the radius arm handbrake quadrants?
Have found titanium ones but cant find stainless.

Thanks matey , just seems really strange that nobody does these , you would think they would be readily available

It's not really strange, they would be inappropriate for almost all uses. People think stainless will fix all sorts of corrosion but in many cases it will accelerate the problem. In this case if you put stainless clevis pins into either standard mild steel or aftermarket alloy quadrants to hold a mild steel cable then the pins would be the only things to survive after a few months in the weather. Stainless sets up a really effective galvanic cell with many metals including mild steel, zinc,and ally. In short, in about a year of day to day use the handbrake cable would probably snap.

On a car thats only used as summer toy and gets constant attention i think they would be up to the job .

I have to agree, Stainless seems to be one of the most over-used in the most inappropriate applications metal about. I gotta say, while I like the concept, I loath that material.

If only used as a summer toy then surely anything will do, it won't be meeting an aggressive environment!

True , might bight the bullet and get the titanium ones as ive found somewhere that does stainless ones but there is not much difference in price between those and stainless

titanium will have the same effect, though I think Dan's estimate on the lifespan of the surrounding parts may be a bit off
