Hey,

Whats the best route for the fuel line in the engine bay, it just seems to look messy so i wondered if anyone has done anything clever/different or just bloody neater!

It's a 998 with mechanical fuel pump by the way.

Cheers

Its not too bad as standard to be honest, how is yours routed? It should have a solid metal section running behind the exhaust with short lengths of rubber hose connecting it to the pump and carb. If you don't have this solid metal pipe in place, fit one ASAP. It's quite essential.

Not  a lot can be done really with the pipe work as it needs to be as it is to go to the pump and then away from the pump. As TMF,s chief doc says though, you do need a solid piece of pipe between the outlet of the pump to the carb with a bit of rubber on each end to attach it on. Rubber gets hot, then brittle, then cracks and you do not want dripping fuel on an exhaust system. Consequences could be very nasty.......
