I got asked to fill in a questionnaire after I left that site.

It asked me how old I was so selected the 18+ option. It then asked how would you describe yourself. The options given were:

  • A parent who buys lego sets for their child
  • An Adult who buys lego sets for themselves
  • A parent who buys lego sets for their child and themselves equally
  • A grandparent or relative who buys lego sets for a child
  • An educator interested in educational lego sets
  • other

I had to select other. It didn't give me the option of "Adult who gets lego sets bought for them"

Another question was "what good things would you tell others about lego" My answer was:

"EVERYTHING. Everything about lego is awesome (apart from standing on it)"

I got the Lego Ghostbusters set for Christmas and the Creator Mini set for my birthday.  I'm now wanting to start a town with the Creator Modular buildings.

You're not alone!!!

Fantastic little kits those!

I have to say I don't like lego much anymore, which is really sad as from the age of 5ish I spent most of my time until probably 12 building stuff. a couple of years back I got all my old bricks out and found I had lost my imagination when it came to deciding what to build. Since then I have been playing with big boys toys instead. I am sure I will have a play sometime when I have time and get my mojo back.

But one thing that did come out of that session a couple of years back was this, my own lego a-series, (even with the correct firing order on the HT leads ;) )

My brother's a rocket scientist (no, really). He is 44, married with 2 kids and is obsessed with Lego. I can understand how great it is to make things and use your imagination etc but he bores me to tears when he talks about it. Thankfully he lives 130 miles away.

The guy who sits next to me at work is also a Lego nut. He displays his models at Lego shows up and down the country. I can't escape from the bl***y stuff. >_<

I still maintain that there are few things as painful as kneeling on a piece of Lego.
