Hi All,
Has anyone got one of these? If so, any good?
If you don't how do you go about folding sheet steel?
Thanks
Chris

I clamp the sheet between two lengths of angle iron in a vice and then bend it over with the help of a rubber mallet.

As above stick it in the vice, if the metal is longer than the vice jaws, clamp the angle iron together.

I made my own for around £20, it does need improvement but does the job it's shown here in this thread in the link below.
Is there any chance of a few more pics from different angles and a little description on how you put it together.

Have a look on Readers Rides forum - the Making Panels thread by bmwtony has some great metal fabrication techniques. He includes plans and explanation of how to make your own metal folder.
Sorry can't do a link on this phone.
Thanks Castafiore, what would we do without Google?
This thread is worth a look for those not experienced with panel bashing - like myself!

For the size and capacity of that one I'd not bother. I either clamp stuff between two bits of angle in the vice or for larger stuff I lay it flat on a bench with a piece of angle over the edge to fold over and clamp another bit of angle or square section on the top of the fold and then set to with a hammer/mallet.
I am debating buying one but a somewhat heavier one that'll do thicker material. I just need to ask myself how often I bend heavier stuff to justify it.
