Looking to fit a electronic ignition kit to my Aldon Yellow to get rid of points, what is the best brand to go with?
After searching there seems to be a few…. Accuspark, Lumenition, Britpart, Powerspark etc
Thanks

If it's just a module to replace the points & condensor with, they all seem much for muchness in terms of 'which is best'.

But kits like Aldon and Lumenition are £80+ where as the others are £20 - £30, I was more interested in the cheaper £20 - £30 kits considering they all look the same with a different name on but dont want something thats not any good
The Britpart kits seem to get good reviews and guessing if they are used in off road LandRovers they must be reliable

Noticed an accuspark kit said it had adaptive dwell that others dont have yet it looks exactly the same as all the others, is this just a load of rubbish to make more sales?

Thats been around a long time and is nothing new, Dwell just refers to amount of degrees that the points need to be closed to allow the col to recharge, Hall Effect Transistor triggers and the newer coils we use have nanosecond recharge times so dwell is controlled by the trigger, so IMO all Hall Effective Triggers are adaptive type with a small micro processor controlling dwell as they allow sufficient time for the coils to recharge.
Obviously in the marketing world its important to list every pointer you can.
Powersparks do list it in their FAQs but others are using it as a sales aid.
