Having problems finding bumpers for a 1997 mpi Cooper, we have a rear one that fits perfectly except someone has driven into it...and a brand new front one from minispares, the shape of the ends are completely different, however when i look on minispares etc they say that the bumpers are interchangable. It's very confusing! We are assuming that the rear one is the genuine bumper, but even when you look at genuine ones they say that they are the same.....brain hurts !

Any help or advice on either would be fantastic thankyou so much

In the above pic the rear bumper is on the bottom , the front one on the top has a sharper curve on the end from above,

in this pic you can see the different shape of the ends, the bottom one fits the rear much better as it slopes forward at the bottom, this is the one I would like to buy if anyone knows where to get one from!

Technically front and rear bumpers are the same, that said genuine and pattern bumpers are not always the same at the ends.

The one you have fitted to the rear is a genuine bumper and the front looks like a pattern one.

You might have trouble finding any with Rover stickers on now.

These are probably the closest available option these days. Clicky
