Guys, as the title suggests really.

Got a bare mini to pick up but I'm nowhere near mine to measure it up so wonder what sort of van I can get it in.

It's completly bare, no doors boot or bonnet, interior, glass subframes etc is all out!

Was thinking a Luton van for sure but wondering if a LWB transit will work...?

Cheers!

As it is a bare shell, a high top van would work and just sit it on the wheel arch tubs.

I used a luton and had room to spare for the engine, subframes, boxes and boxes of parts plus tools, benches, basically my whole garage so for just a shell, it might be a bit overkill

Plenty of room in a luton...

As ben says though a shell would fit in the back of a high top too, just a bit more awkward imo

There a pic on a Pinterest site that shows a mini van in Mercedes Sprinter van

The only issue is these come in several sizes.
I looked at a transit for my pickup but the issue was the wheel arches (the transits not the PUPs). I used a Luton with an electric tail lift which made getting it in and out easier.

I've used an ifor Williams horse trailer with the centre partition out. It's bloody snug but it fits!

Would you consider a Flat Top?  Easier to load and unload, if you're hiring, you could likely even get one with a Hiab type Crane.

I'd post a pic of mine, but I can access Photobucket for some silly reason.

<edit: I'm in :-)

the guy who i bought my mini off said that you could steel a mini in the back of a transit van and it had happened at a couple of shows.

I think even if this happened at a show no one would question it haha it is a good way of moving it :P
