Hi All,

Just took the flywheel off after hiring a puller and noticed at the bottom of the housing in the bit of gunk was a tiny spring and piece of metal rod, the spring about 8mm long, the rod about 5mm long and 2mm dia.

Any idea where this is from? The closest I can find in the diagrams are the 2nd/3rd retaining peg/spring but how they would get into the flywheel housing is confusing me lol.

Like you say 2nd/3rd gear retaining ring spring and plunger. Shouldn't be on the 'dry' side if the flywheel housing though!

Hmmm very strange, its not really like I could have dropped one, or misplaced it during dis-assembly so can only assume its been there since it was first put together.

Will have to see if its 'come out' or extra when I get a closer look at the g/box.

Looks like a synchro spring, it's not the retainer spring and plunger for the 2nd/3rd gears for sure...

The Roller could be from an idler bearing but looks to big in o/d

Anyway, both are foreign to the clutch case.

Does look like a idle gear roller bearing piece although does look a little long
