Morning all! need to source some longer bolts so I can attach it to the engine stand, can anybody tell me the size/thread please?

I bought generic 3/8 bolt from bandq and it was too big, could this be down to the thread?

Sorry, I gave you a bum steer, the threads in the block are actually 3/8" UNC.
I don't know what the thread type on a 'generic' 3/8" Bolt would be, so I can't offer much there.
Got a pic?
3/8" UNC Bolts or for that matter you'd get away with BSW for this, shouldn't be too had to find.
