Hi all,

Thought I would share my current project with you and get any thought opinions from yourselfs.

So i brought a complete z cars mini in october with a nasty zeemax body kit (in my opinion) on it but a complete running car.

Z cars tell me this was there first vtec kit they did for a customer ?

Anyways the arches hadn't been sealed underneath so water just sat between the arches and body, consequently ruining the panels.

so its currently in the body shop, its had new front end, quarters etc and going to spray next week, then i can get back to the charger build.

Im going for a m90 charger from a jaguar xjr6 and going to use the charge cooler and radiator from the same car.

I paid 250 for all of this from a jaguar breakers, although i did have to put a new coupler in the charger.

Hopefully using a bigger charger will mean I dont need to run the charger so fast to get required boost and then reduce the heat the charger makes

The charger and cooler brackets are all built up, and belt is on with tensioner. Ive just got the get the car back and then sort out good pipe routing for boost pipes

I've put a quick video on, this was after I pulled the arches off and started the engine with charger on.

its loud but it is boosting into the air rather than into the engine.

let me know what you think

on 7x13 or 8x13 wheels?

Were they hard to put on the wheels? I have read some horror stories about the sidewall being too stiff etc....

Thoughts ?

Looks great.

Just an observation here, the rear arches look very close to the wheels and I fear there might be more travel in the suspension than the arches can take. I am not wanting to urinate on your pomme frites by saying this, I just know from experience that there can be a fair amount of travel, especially on a bumpy road when you get full compression after a bump. I've had the smell of rubbing rubber more than a few times after a bump in the road, admittedly changing from the 205/60 to the 225/45 made the rubbing go away.....

I am interested to see how you like the tyres though....could you PM me the price you paid for them (if you don't want to put it up on here)...

No offence taken atall
That's exactly the feedback I want !!!

There's about two inches travel , do you think I need more , if so what do you think the option is ?

It's going for a full suspension set up and rolling road on the 29th so shall I see how that goes or try make adjustments before ?
I brought the tyres off demon tweeks and the price is on the website mate

They look grippy !!!

You can try to lift the rear of the car, remove the shock absorber and see if the wheels catch the fenders when the susp arms are at the end of their travel...

jim are you using 7x13 or 8x13 wheels?
