I've been asked by the lovely lady that looks after my uncles animals to post this on the small chance anyone might know something.
Back in 2003/2004 her fathers 1962 mk 1 mini (Registration 1899 VB) was stolen from Southampton.
It was taken away for an appraisal, by a guy who was a mini specialist called 'Minis Only' based in Southampton at the time.
The Guy took the car away on a low loader and was never heard from again. It's probably been sold it on and she understands that, but would like to know if it's still out there or if anyone knows anything about the company?

Not heard of Mini's Only but obviously if the car is still around in it's original form, it won't have that VRM anymore.
Did she not report it to the police at the time?

Google search for "Minis Only Southampton" throws up an address for Minis Only & maybe a telephone number, but might be ages old & might no longer exist ??

https://www.google.c...y" Southampton
Googling the company brings up a few hits on this very site and others around 2005/6 with people posting both good and bad reviews, mostly bad. One says they closed down around that time.
Did nobody phone or visit them to check on the car at the time? The fact she's asking over 10 years later doesn't fill me with hope that it's going to appear...

Contact for Minis Only was a Mr K Mackenzie. I managed to find a Kevin Mackenzie who lives very near where the garage used to be and he just happens to be into Minis:
[I've removed the link to his actual Facebook profile in case the mods get upset - although I'm not saying anyone stole anything!].
Here's the wind-up notice for the company:

The name of the business partner and the guy I found on Facebook's wife are the same. Here's his Mini:

He also has a nice collection of Minis:

She'd mainly just like to know if its still out there as she knows that its been so long now and obviously didn't do anything at the time.
I know it's most likely long gone, especially if it hasn't been taxed since 1992, but would be nice to know what happened to it.
