Currently have the Mini Cooper insured on a fleet policy through my business, but want to change it over to a bespoke specialist policy with an agreed value.

I've got my 205 GTI with Greenlight with an agreed value of £5K, but £5k is the most they will do for agreed value. I'd like to get a higher value for the Mini.

Any recommendations?

Adrian flux definitely do agreed value, upwards of £5k too if necessary, very reasonable from my experience with them too.

Peter James have free European breakdown too and free repatriation of your car - which came in handy for me and my dad a few years ago when the big end went on his spitfire up the Swiss Alps! They gave a very personal service and do agreed value.

I have had mine with HIC for the last 5 years. Every year I just sent them three A4 sheets with the modifications listed and 12 photos and job done. Be aware they are a broker so your actual insurance is whatever company they find the cheapest for you. Agreed value on mine currently at £6500

Cant Fault ClassicLine. HQ is in the same town as me, but service and price is second to none. All the usual classic policy stuff, agreed value, modifications, European breakdown etc etc

I've had agreed value policies with most of the specialist insurers over the years, and I have to say that I can't fault Peter James for both customer service and attention to detail. My issue with many of the specialist insurers is that they're really quick to insist that all modifications must be declared, but aren't so keen on actually taking down/recording the details of those mods when you try to provide them. Peter James however provide you with a modified vehicle report form to complete, which allows you to declare absolutley everything, right down to the brand of tyres that you've got fitted.

Make sure you keep every receipt for every pound that you spend on your Mini and send them all in with you application, Last year one of mine was set with an agreed valuation with Lancaster Insurance at £12,750 this year its just gone up a little too £13,000, I`d be lucky to get 6k+ for it in all honesty if ever I come to sell it so having an agreed valuation is essential ;-)

Try Carole Nash, I had my BMW R80 insured with them with an agreed value.
I got taken out by an HGV on a roundabout it came within £50 of being written off, if I had not had an agreed value It would have been. Carol Nash, recovered the bike to a specialist repairer, got me £3000 compensation all done in about 3 months.

I would have called the ambulance service if my big end had gone up the Swiss Alps......... :X

Another one for Peter James.  I can't fault them.  Excellent customer service and I have had both a claim and a European breakdown which required repatriation.  I always feel you never know how good an insurer is until you claim, and Peter James were great.
