Anyone shed some light on how the brake servo comes apart? I want to fit a new seal kit. I know there is a strong spring in there and all the other safety related items.

The only one I took apart (triumph) twisted to unhook the top from the bottom ... twisted as in helped with a hammer and cold chisel carefully. And yes there is a spring inside so you'll need to stop the two halves flying apart.

Had a quick look at it today and there are 3 tags which I have lifted up, it does look the Jaguar 4.2 E-Type one which twists apart. I couldn't find anything in the Haynes manual so thought since they sell a spares kit someone must have stripped these in the past.

Hi,
Yes it twists apart. Take careful note of how it comes apart for when you want to re-assemble it. I didn't and so I am having problems ![]()
I had to use a block of wood as leverage.
