Hello Everyone,
For sale is my genuine red 1988 (E reg) Austin Mini Red Hot with a standard little 998cc engine. The Mini has been stripped, apart from engine, and ready for a renovation/project. Pictures can be found at the bottom of this ad. All correct V5 documentation, ID and all documentation from my ownership is included in sale. I was planning on selling up within the year anyway but a recent change in personal and career circumstances (In a good way - following my dreams) means I'm not sure what I will be doing and where exactly I will be in the next few months and unfortunately I need it gone pretty soon.
Good Points:
Genuine Body & V5 to match
Brand New rear pattern subframe
New rear shocks & Hi - Lo Kit
Most of the parts which were salvageable are still there (About 90% of all original bits are still there in boxes and bags)
Replacement panels; floor pan, sills.
Bad Points:
Rust – all the classic mini places (sills, rear pockets, boot, front end)
Filler and fibreglass bodge repairs on inner & outer sills.
No original interior
Engine is likely to be seized and will most definitely need replacing or a re-build.
Only a rolling shell on its rear wheels, nothing works.
The Mini has no MOT and is SORN and she is only on her 2 back wheels so collection will need to be arranged by the buyer. I will of course assist with collection.
The Red Hot edition is pretty rare with only 3000 ever made, 1000 in the UK and according to howmanyleft.co.uk there are only a total of 55 left on the road with 112 Sorn. Own a little bit of rare history.
Being a long time user, this community has helped me out a lot so I will offer it up to you guys for the first 2 weeks and if there are no takers or interest I will put it on eBay, Gumtree, Trade-it etc after. Hopefully a Mini fanatic will get their hands on her and give her the treatment she deserves.
I'm after £550 O.N.O with all the parts I have which I think is fair and that’s what she was valued at in the valuations area last year.
