Hello been getting a little tried on how my minis been looking recently finding Group 2 wide arches to wide. not so keen on the over arch look and how it looks straight on. i have a 7.5 cooper brake set up and run 10 x 6 Weller wheels.

i noticed on the Mini Spare site there are two times off Wood picket arches 2.25 " at £86   and the same but 2.50" at £45 just wondering if any one has had experience with this the two and which would be more suitable?

i.e the more expense/ better quality or the cheaper that has the extra Quarter off an inch? (Que sexual innuendos)

that may be needed to clear 10x6 wheels with a disc set up?

thanks muchly  :D Tom

My minis currently sitting on 5x12 d1 dunlops with wood and pickett arches not to sure whether mine are 2.25 or 2.50 as i bought them a few years back at bingley (on the cheap as they needed refibreglassing)

Couple of photos should hopefully help you out a bit (my wheels stick out of the arches slightly but nothing major :D

I would go for the wider W&P arches as my genuine WP arches are borderline covering my Japanese spec deep dish 6x10 ET-15 offset Minilite Mk 11 wheels.

These are the easy fit ones from MiniSpares. They were not easy to fit, ironically, but look good:

Suit it really well gone off having a lip on my arch's just want a near Stock look. i know!  most off the archs need a lot off shaping and a bit off bending to fit properly. were they easy to screw in as the Screws are under the arches not on the top or showing right?

also are you running 7.9 disk brakes? thanks

The top part of the arch should fit tight to the body with just a rubber seal fitted between the top edges of the arch and the body side panel so no fixings are visible.

ie. all fixings are from underneath the arch drilled upwards into the projecting metal seam /body flange.

Also the advantage is that if you ever removed the arches there would be no rusty screw or rivet holes visible in the sides of the front wings or rear side panels.

Much appreciated  :D  thought they looked a bit weird to fit! will make sure i rivet them on tightly and in the right place then to hold them in right. thanks again  :highfive:
