Can anyone recommend a GOOD snap off/ Quick release boss to fit a momo wheel. (not a mini classic one)

I've heard horror stories of cheap ebay ones coming off, but I don't want to spend a lot on one :)

Any recommendations please!

Brown and Geeson (B&G) do good quality ones for sensible money, not as cheap as the ebay specials but proper quality bits of kit.

That's the one, I paid about £80 direct from them about three years back so might be worth giving them a ring.

No idea on the second type, doesn't look that sturdy to me though.

That's a shame, they are good quality though and for something so safety critical I wouldn't take a chance on an unbranded one.

The Brown & Geeson ones are ace as they're of a ballbearing locking design that takes up play as the boss wears over time. Slimmer than lifeline style ones as well if thats of need.

The other JJC one in your link is a Motacorsa item. I've currently got one in my rally car, theres a pic below for what its worth. It's a copy of the lifeline type splined bosses, i'm pleased with it. Quality isn't quite as good as the 'Lifeline' ones, but then you can buy 4 of them for the equivalent cost. Keep a little bit of grease on the splines, this helps reduce the wear when removing and refitting the wheel.

Might give it a go can always send it back if it's cheap and nasty.

Are you sure thats a motacorsa item, they sell one very similar that actually says motacorsa in the listing but it's £120

Hmmm, thats odd, when i purchased mine there was only the one available and neither did it state motacorsa in the listing. Took a bit of a gamble when buying it and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and turned out to be a Motacorsa boss. Gotta be worth a try surely, especially since the cheaper listing states it being in a 'Sale'. JJC have always been good with returns whenever necessary.

I'm guessing this isn't a genuine sparco boss?

You guessed correctly, there was loads of them floating around a year or so a go. Proper cheap and nasty stuff.
