I currently own a 1981 Austin mini HL, in which I currently use a small Bluetooth speaker to play music when driving. As you can imagine I can't hear much above the engine noise so want to upgrade to something more substantial. I asked a local car speaker firm if they could help with a discrete set up and radio and they quoted me £450, which seems quite a lot. I was wondering if anyone had attempted to install their own system and the difficulty / cost of doing so.
Any suggestions are much appreciated

Installed mine in mate.

Got a wiring loom from 'wired by wilson' on here. Top quality at a good price.

Very easy to fit.

Currently looking into that, far cheaper than the other company!

I've got all the pieces to fit into my 25.
I'm going for a Bluetooth speaker, jack plug to RCA cable, to an amp, to the speakers.
All hidden, nothing on show.
Play music through the phone. Perfect. I've tried it out and it works a treat.

@Ellie, do you still have the old radio cassette player and speakers from your Mini 25 ? I am after some originals for a project 25 in our works :-)

I have Hun yes.
But I'm fitting them in mine to keep the original look.
My friend has one,he has recently offered them me, I'll see if he still has them.
