Been looking at the spax adjustable coilover kit and been considering getting it once i can afford it just wandered if anyone had this on theirs and wanted to tell me about how much it changes the ride of the car, softer ride over bumps or harder ride etc etc (Sorry if wrong forum area)

have had coilovers on previous cars other Tha minis and it made the ride alot firmer. Would even say that they can be quite harsh

Ok still would like to hear from someone who's had this kit on a mini or something close to this kit.

Not really intended for Road Use, though they can be used on the Road. From memory, the Spring Rates are 185 lb / in, however, being a normal coil spring, the rates are fixed. The stock Rubber Cone and Trumpet set up has a variable rate, so it starts off soft, then once the flange of the trumpet has made full contact on to the Cone, the rate increases and continues to Increase.

 

We run Coil Overs on the Back of some of our Mokes (I run Air, but that's another story), however these are used as 'Assist' units, not replacement one, so the Rubber Cone and Trumpet is still fitted.
