Hi folks doing a rack change tomorrow on daughters car
But never done it before has any one done this and are there Ny tips on doing it
I know I have to jack up the car and put axle stands under body then jack under gear box undo tower bolts and rear mounts and power to have enough space to get rack out and the back in but I read some where about using a drill bit in the rack but don't know why could any advise what is for and where I put it
Thanks lee

There is a centering port in the rack that locks it in the dead ahead which you need to use when setting up the tracking and fitting the steering wheel. You stick a 1/4" drill or dowel in there to lock it up. It's at the non-driving end equivalent to where the pinion is at the driver's end. There is a plug in the passenger floor pan to access it.
